Russell, that looks liek complete bumpkis to me.

I can’t see any country taxing a major economic trading function for an international NGO, no matter how worthy they are.

The fact that the 50p/month tax on broadband to fund more UK infrastructure roll-out suggested in the Digital Britain report was dropped form the DEB shows how little credence this would be given.

I have no idea why Fox would choose to report this other than for their own nefarious purposes or because they are idiotically repeating any ‘content’ they can lay their hands on.

We possibly all felt dismay the day Helen Jackson stepped down and Angela Smith surfaced – chalk and cheese. Ms Smith seems on a par with Meg Munn (presumably in the name of consistency). I agree with all of your points and concerns. My own particular fear is that this is an initial “stalking horse” to condition us to the idea of licensed internet usage being introduced at a later date (with yet another attempt at controlling the net). Dunno quite what they’re playing at.
